Rafutei ラフテー (Okinawan braised pork belly)

A typical and well-known traditional local pork dish of Okinawa is Rafutei. Rafutei is an Okinawan style simmered pork belly stewed with soy sauce, sugar, and awamori (Okinawa liquor).

We use genuine Okinawa’s dark sugar and Awamori 泡盛 for this stew, so the taste is pleasantly savoury sweet and the texture is amazingly melt in your mouth.

In fact, we don’t need knife and fork!
This is Awamori.

Would you like to be a critic for this hearty food? Yes, you can, that will be on a menu of cooking class in August 🙂
So if you fancy it, please don’t miss out that chance!
