Japanese Style Stir Fried Bitter Gourd, Pork & Egg (Goya Champuru), Boiled Whitebait Cold Salad, Sake Drunken Pineapple with Coconut

Hi there!
Thanks for visiting our food blog.

Today we are going to share one of very popular regional Japanese cuisine with you.
That is Stir Fried Bitter Gourd, Pork & Egg which is called Goya Champuru, which originated in Okinawa islands.

Okinawa islands are the most southern land of Japan and my favourite place.
In summer season, that has just similar climate with Singapore -always sunny, hot and humid. I love dazzling sunshine and crystal turquoise beach!

For these hot weather, bitter gourd is perfect for keeping our physical condition because they supply us loads of Vitamin C that we should consume more especially in the hot weather.

So no wonder Okinawan people created this food, sounds very sensible.

We happily made the recipe of this powerful food, so if you would be intrigued that, please feel free to download. We are more than happy to share our recipes!

Then as just for your information, I’m going to share other dishes alongside.

Japanese Style Stir Fried Bitter Gourd, Pork & Egg (Goya Champuru), Boiled Whitebait Cold Salad, Sake Drunken Pineapple

Briefly boiled whitebait and seasoned with grated Mooli (Daikon), soy sauce and small lime.

Japanese style Kimchi that I made.

Soy Boiled Monkey Nuts

Simply vegetable soup

And lastly, Sake Drunken Pineapple with Coconut.
This smashed my family even children, they loved that so much!

Allow kids to have Sake??
No worries, I grilled Sake marinated pineapple in the oven, so all alcohol is evaporated!

Ummm…this made me mouthwatering again.

Well, in Singapore, the serious issue has been overcome and thankfully we feel to be off from the peak of intense.
But we wish all other countries peaceful and quick recovering very soon.

Naoko xx
