Recipe -Oyakodon (Chicken & Egg Rice Bowl)

Hi everybody!
It’s Wednesday here in Singapore and we are having another very hot day.

A friend of mine who is a Singaporean taught me it’s now hot and rainy time until June. The sun is really dazzling and powerful.
Anyway, we are still carrying on isolating and staying at home as much as we can.

Obviously our home cooking time is much than normal days despite other household chores are not changed/reduced. So I’m gonna share the time saving food’s recipe for you 🙂 It’s not only quick cooking but also very healthy and tasty.

That is Oyakodon.

Oyakodon is exactly classic soul food of Japan, literally means ‘parent’ (Oya), ‘child’ (Ko) and ‘bowl’ (don). It is ‘parent (chicken)-and-child (egg) Rice Bowl’ and exactly that’s that.

The reason we chose Oyakodon for today’s sharing is pretty simple:
1. Quick and simple 30 minutes cooking
2. Healthy comfort food -no oil, fresh ingredients
3. Common ingredients in the pantry -chicken, egg, onion

That sounds great, doesn’t it?

Oh this is an extra sample shot for a side dish, Spicy Pork Fresh Salad.

Lastly, here is the recipe of delightful Oyakodon.

We do hope you enjoy the cooking without any huge effort everyday.

Have a lovely rest of the day, everybody!

Naoko xx
